Five years ago I decided to purchase a loft so I went on the web and found Lofts Unlimited's (now called Urban Bay Properties) website and subsequently met Meredith Martin. I met with her and really clicked with her because she took the time to understand what I wanted. I think we also hit it off because we are both surfers! She helped me find exactly the loft I wanted in an extremely competitive market. I was very happy with my purchase. We stayed friends after I bought the loft and I continue to refer friends to her.
Last year I decided to sell the loft and look for a single family home - a place with guest rooms for relatives and a yard for my dog. And I began to recognize that a single family home was a better long-term investment. I found my new house on an open house marathon one Sunday. It was exactly what I wanted. The house had been on the market a while and the owner had dropped her original price a little. I could see the potential the house offered and wanted to buy it. Meredith checked the house thoroughly as well as investigating the neighborhood to ensure my purchase would be a good investment. She helped me to negotiate and we made an offer just $10,000 over the list price and I got the home.
Recently I listed Arkansas with Meredith because I planned to move to Seattle and I got an offer for almost $150,000 more than I had paid for the house and the remodel expense just a little over a year ago. But my move did not take place and I removed my house from the market. Meredith was extremely understanding and worked with me through this whole process. She is so personable and knowledgeable and her expertise is evident when you do business with her!
